Mushroom toast on grilled bread
With grilled mushrooms red bell pepper, topped with mozzarella and a touch of honey. An easy and flavorful snack or starter.

  • 1 ciabatta loaf, sliced
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 fresh mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp acacia honey
  • Salt and pepper

    Rinse the bell peppers and mushrooms. Peel the onions and garlic.

    Cut the onions and peppers into strips, finely chop the garlic, and cut the mushrooms into bite-sized pieces.

    Sauté all the vegetables over high heat with oil and rosemary until nicely coloured and tender. Season with salt and pepper during cooking.

    Grill the bread.

    Toss the vegetables with balsamic vinegar and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

    Tear the mozzarella into strips.

    Arrange the mozzarella on the grilled bread and top with the vegetables, a pinch of salt, and a drizzle of maple syrup. Serve as a snack or a delicious starter.
